Ruby Bridges Honored on MLK Day at the Lansing Center
On Monday, January 15th 2024, Civil Rights icon, Ruby Bridges, was honored at the 39th Annual MLK Life of Celebration for her stand against segregation at only 6 years old.
With over 1,500 attendees this is the largest MLK Day Celebration Luncheon in the region and tables sold out 2 weeks before the event. This annual event is put on by Dr. Martin Luther King Commission of Mid-Michigan and will always take place on MLK Day.
