The Michigan Education Association (MEA) is a self-governing education association, representing about 120,000 teachers, education support professionals and higher-education employees throughout the state.

A statewide coalition of cross-sector partners committed to raising awareness of the prevalence and impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on Michigan’s children and communities. We provide ACE-aware, trauma-informed training and education and develop and implement programs to foster protective factors and build resilience among Michigan’s children who have experienced trauma and adversity.
