Yes, for contracted events, we offer food samplings for some entrees with which you are not familiar. The tasting is usually held after your first initial meeting with your Catering Coordinator and Event Coordinator. Tasting dates are based upon our Executive Chef’s availability and usually done (90) days prior to your wedding date. Please contact your Catering Coordinator for more information regarding the types and numbers of meals available for sampling.
Yes, we would be pleased to cut and serve your wedding cake for no additional charge with your full dinner function. Please let your Catering Coordinator know if you would like to use our complimentary cake knife and server or if you are bringing your own set for photographic purposes.
For children (10) years and younger, the Lansing Center offers a children’s meal which includes chicken tenders, tater tots, applesauce, and milk. If you are an event planner, please contact a Catering Sales Coordinator for current pricing.
Yes, any required deposits paid in advance will be credited toward your final bill.
The guaranteed meal count for all meal types and reception items is required by 3:00pm (10) business days prior to the function date and will be the minimum quantity used for billing. If ordering a décor package with chair covers, the total seat count in the room is also due at this time to ensure décor product delivery.

Yes, the Lansing Center is happy to provide complimentary use of centerpieces for full dinner functions. We have many options to customize and elevate your “table-scapes” to beautiful levels and these are available in our wedding décor options. In some cases, a nominal rental fee for centerpieces may apply for those functions not meeting minimal food and beverage purchase requirements.
Yes, our bartenders will check the ID of anyone who looks to be under the age of 30.
In accordance with State of Michigan Law, absolutely NO alcohol can be brought onto the premises by clients, vendors or attendees. Outside alcohol found on premises will result in confiscation and the possibility of bar service ending at that point and time.
Yes, we have menu items that meet many of our guests’ special dietary needs. The event planner shall provide these meal requirements in advance when the guaranteed meal counts are due.
